An eyelid lift or blepharoplasty is a procedure to remove skin and to add or remove fat from the eyelids. The term “eyelid lift” is an inappropriate name because the eyelid is not truly lifted during surgery. Upper blepharoplasty surgery, uses incisions to allow for removal of skin and fat; then is used a tiny stitch to bring the skin together to allow for a creation of an eyelid crease.
This procedure removes the excessive tissue; add fat from the upper to the lower eyelids, providing a fresher and more youthful appearance.
How long does the surgery last?
From 1 to 2 hours on both parts (sides)
How long is the recovery?
The stitches are removed after 5 days and the inflammation will last up to a week.
When can I return to my normal activities?
Approximately 2 to 5 days.
